I had the J Peterman specs...they're nice shoes, but they wouldn't equal the heel of the EG Malverns. Great shoe, Cookie. From someone who LOVES specs, I'm drooling!

Tempting, isn't it? Unfortunately, I have stopped trying to purchase shoes by mail unless they are MTM. When Russell makes my moccasins they're labeled 9 1/2D but my Brooks walking sneakers are 12's! How is a man supposed to get a decent fit when the blasted manufacturers can't get their act together? I'll save up for the AE's.

For me, EG is the ultimate shoe brand for diminishing returns: showing that those little details cost, but that they sure look to be worth it.
