Also you need at least 5.5+ open crown to get a higher pinch front like above. If you bash a 5" crown to make a teardrop pinch front you will get a lower crown that looks different like pics below. That's probably the problem you encountered.

Exactly what happened. The top of the heading was touching but not the sides.

Just make sure if you want to bash/shape a crown start with a 5.5 or 6" open crown. It make a big difference to get the dome right and have it where it sits right above your ears in the back.

I don't like giving the impression I work, that's the same as saying, I got money. That way I don't have to fight off all the ladies anymore like I did when I worked!!!! Looks like a possibly bigger brim than on a Fed(?-- not so much from the side, but from the top), but with a crown/crease I've seen achieved on a number of hats featured here, especially Akubras.

I would think that a SilverBelly CampDraft with the edge binding removed would be very close. The brim would be wide enough and the crown should make the desired shape. The only issue would be ironing or flanging the desired shape to the crown which is slightly flanged.

The English translation subtitles Youtubes were taken off. That song was causing too much, and others, controversy. It came out at a time in SA that stirred too much emotions I guess.

Balch Springs...How do you avoid sweating? On some summer days in DFW you break a sweat walking over to turn down the thermostat to get the room cooler. At least with a good lid you look good sweating.

I stay in the air conditioning all day. Go out at night when it is cooler.
