I know in early photography noone smiled because it took forever to take a photo.
Maybe the smiling started again after the depression when noone had anything to smile about.
What I read from keygrip's photo and comment is what my mom used to say that is so so true. "Still waters run deep." Those quiet ones are the ones you have to worry about. Of course I didn't listen and married Clint Eastwood type. You know like "yep", "nope". Still makes me curious to know what he is thinking.
