Christopher Moore is Tom Robbins (my generation cult writer) on steroids. Many of his hilarious books now take place in northern California, with some in San Francisco. "Minty Fresh" is a character in the book A Dirty Job. For FL members in or from northern California (that's me), the allusions and references to real people and places are lot of fun. Moore's most famous book is "Lamb: the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal." This is the story of Jesus' life told by "Biff" his childhood buddy who was omitted from the new testament for reasons that become apparent in this very funny but historically realistic (with poetic license) novel.
