Alright, this hat has a story, short as it may be. I actually purchased this hat from The Wingnut... I want to say last year, but I'm not sure. Anyway, the hat was in good shape, but needed cleaning and such. So, I handed it over to our resident Hat Doctor, Art Fawcett. It has been cleaned and the ribbon replaced with a distinctly non-Open Road ribbon.

I won't say the hat is perfect, far from it. There are some minor dirt marks that are visable with close inspection, and this is clearly a hat that was worn, not kept in a box someplace. The lining shows the most signs of wear, but doesn't really need replacing. Most opinions date it as late 1960's. Color is sort of a cream/tan. Some old bashmarks can be seen close-up, but they are fading with time. The hat has not been soiled since it's cleaning by Art. I have only worn it in fair weather and kept it stored in optimal conditions.

Because I put some work into it, I'd like to see $85 shipped within the U.S., but I'm willing to haggle or entertain a trade in a size 7 1/2. Questions also welcome. I really like this hat, epecially the color, but I really have to let it go at this point. :( The photos at the link below include the "before" pictures that Wingnut posted (they have Wingnut in the title and the original thin ribbon).
