SOLD

Akubra Camp Draft in 7 1/4 (58)

I wore it three or five times. Only reason for sale is the recent aquisition of a vintage Open Road in a similar color.
I'm asking $80 shipped First Class USPS in the CONUS. Elsewhere, PM for details. That's about $40 less than the Hatsdirect price ( sent by EMS ).
I accept Paypal.

My gourd is almost exactly 22 7/8.
On me, this is a pretty generous 7 1/4 (58). I've had it for about six months and there's been no change in size, and that includes using steam to set the creases. I haven't worn it in the rain or especially hot weather ( the few times I wore it were at the end of last winter and into April ).

As to the Federation IV - everyone seems so utterly terrified of steam; you're not supposed to boil your hats. But if you need to get your Fed IV back in shape, put it on a hat-jack, crank it to where you want it, and lightly steam near the ribbon and brim break. I swear to you, the hat will not disolve or turn into a newt.

The Federations run smaller than the Camp Drafts ( yes I have both, yes I stretched my Federation, no the crown did not taper ( I did it several months ago and it still fits like a custom, even with little wear ).

If you can get someone to explain the "lamp trick", you may be able to shrink this hat, or maybe just leave it in the car... I've never shrunk a hat.

This is the Taupe Fawn color

Thanks all...
