They're just one of many species of shield bug. This particular species was bought in with Chinese imports & been in the US since the late 90's. They are currently making themselves at home in Europe too. You may see them more at this period though, as like with the native shield bugs, they will be entering houses to pass the winter but if anyone can tell the Brown Momerated Stinkbug apart from the many other indigenous varieties with just a glance, they've got better eyesight & greater entomological knowledge than me.
He's not wearing a hat.
He's going shopping for a hat... just like yours.
The one you're wearing!Which one?
Ah, I'd thought they were stink bugs too until now. They're currently EVERYWHERE! All over the house, all over the windows, they're a menace! They're just one of many species of shield bug. Use of the word "impact" as a verb, I.e., an alternative to "affect", or a noun to replace "effect".
I think the confusion comes from the confusing facts that affect and effect each have two syllables, begin with a vowel, and end in "ct", whereas impact has...
Oh, wait a sec...
Around here I'd replace "amazing" with "awesome" and have the same results. It's reached the point where I avoid using the word "awesome" just for that reason--it's almost so over-used that it's lost it's true meaning."Amazing" as an all-purpose superlative makes my skin crawl. "Ohmahgawd, that was an AMAZING movie." "Ohmahgawd, that's an AMAZING pair of shoes." "Ohmahgawd, that's an AMAZING pie."

“Sorry-bout-that”
You can tell they could care less.
I'd rather they keep their mouth shut!
This one is like fingernails scratching on a chalkboard:
“Know-what-I-mean”
When used repeatedly in a conversation.
It's very annoying....if you know what I mean!
