I am looking for a slim fitting leather car coat in a lighter weight leather. Something similar in style to the RRL Henderson Car Coat. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Nice looking jacket. I prefer single breasted. I was actually looking at Himel's Canuck Railroad Jacket. A lot of cash though - my wife would kill me!

I would go out tonight

I have some leather samples from Pegasus and the new horsehide is one of my favorites. It is very thick but still light in weight. The car coat looks great.

The Canuck is the way to go! I suggested the Chinook because I thought you wanted something longer than the Canuck.
RMC has something similiar to the himel canuck in the semi-belted back in black pigment shinki that looks superb.

But if price is a limitation, then perhaps the aero workcoat , whitefeather car coat , or the colimbo car coat would be the choice.

The RMC car coat is longer than the Canuck -- IMHO, a bit too long.

The Freewheelers Brakeman is also a stellar option.

Alll fantastic jackets! I'll have to measure my canuck with my rmc when i get the canuck.....but i think based on specs they seem comparable in length

Thats one heck of a duo!

I have seen back length measurements for the RMC (42) ranging from 29 to 31.5 (admittedly an e-bay listing). Meanwhile, Himel lists the 40 and 42 Canuck at 28 and 28.25 inches. If the comparison is between 28 and 29 inches, the difference is trivial. However, if the RMC is over 31 inches, thats a big difference.

Yeah my rmc is size 38 with a measured backlength of 27" and i think the himel on the website has 27.75". But we shall see! I need that frobisher you have! Is that pigment black or wax black?

I picked up the size 40 Canuck in Tweed of the sales page here. Great jacket and I will post pics eventually, but it is shorter than I expected. My size 38 Aero LHB is 27-inches long and I just assumed the Canuck was substantially longer (even though measurements were listed). To be clear, I prefer it shorter and the length of the Canuck is perfect in my eyes and has only increased my desire to get the Shinki HH version. The Canuck is just an elegant, well-fitting, and graceful jacket. If I was lucky enough to acquire the HH version, I wouldn't wear any other leather jacket.
