Sleeves width, sizing help

Hi Guys, I am getting a custom horsehide jacket and need help in sizing. U.S Authentic stock sz 40 sportster jacket had 9 inches biceps and 7 inches towards wrist making it too baggy.

What width does your jacket has? I wanted a slimmer look. Shaul suggested to go -0.5 inches.

Also I have seen 2 inches difference between pit-to-pit and waist. Like 23 p2p, 21 waist.
Did anyone slimmed waist further down?

Going for shoulder 19.2, Sleeves 26, p2p 22, length 26.3. Thinking waist 19-19.5 (I wear size 32-33 jeans). need to confirm sleeves width and waist.

I can't really help with sleeves right now, but i wear 33" jeans and 19.5 is the slimmest i can deal with.
Less than that would ride on my hips and be a nightmare.
23" pit and 20" waist is what i usually aim for, it is comfortable for me
19.5 is tight and i am always aware about the fact that the jacket is tight on my belt.
21" is the max i think fits me, above and i look like i am wearing a bag. (Unless wearing a longer jacket)

This is a tricky dimension to spec. A lot depends on the hide, liner and your desired fit. Measure your arm around the widest part, half way between your elbow and pit, resting at your side. If you 1/2 that number it should give you some idea. Baggy sleeves are ugly but too tight is incredibly uncomfortable. Better to error on the side of loose than too tight. You can always subtract but you can’t always add.

So I encountered this issue with the following jacket: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/golden-bear-mens-motorcycle-jacket-38.96627/
The sleeves on this one were really tight, even for a 38/40. Perhaps realted to the lining.
I finally went to a high end independent Men's suit shop in town where the staff were very willing to measure out the sleeves. The salesperson was smaller so he wore the jacket and measured around the sleeves. I do not have those dimensions here with me but it was suprising how "narrow" the sleeves turned out to be. He began to really like the jacket, he considered buying it from me.

All that to say, good question, and probably a good thing to research. I'd suggest going to a good suit shop and be measured, provide this to your jacket supplier.

everyone is build differently, but
my p2p 19.5" , waist (the narrowest) 17", and hem 17.5"
so I guess it is pretty normal to drop 2" form p2p to waist proportionally for a slimmer figure
as for bicep width mine is 6.7" or at the largest 7" since I have stick for arm and prefer my jacket to look trim there, and for your wrist if your jacket has zip sleeve then measure your actual wrist which is 4" in my case, even if you plan to wear glove underneath, it is better to slide down the zip a little when wearing glove rather than having always too big wrist opening that is balooning when you ride, guys with bigger guns need even steeper biceps to wrist ratio.

Thanks for the replies. The stock jacket has
width @ p2p : ~8.8"
widht @ elbow : ~8"
width @wrist : ~5.2"

I am thinking of going -1.5" overall.
