Sizing question Eastman A-1 jacket

Hope this is the right place to post this... To all of you Eastman A-1 owners... I am 6" tall 183lbs (183cm and 83kgs) fairly "athletic" build. O seem to be close to a size 42, but end up with a 44 regular when I use the calculator on their website. What do you guys think? Size down or go with the calculator (and their customers support) recommendations?

Ole, Based on my previous experience I’d tell you to go up in size. The A-1 is very slim fitting.. unless your after a fit tight enough for a cockpit. A little extra room is better.
As an aside I found the forearms and wrist really tight.. no big wrist watches

Thank you so much! Your advise fits very well with customer support, so that seals the deal. Sizing up it is, then.

To add a different thought: Maybe you play around with your figures for weight/height in the calculator to see if your are closer to a 42 or to a 44.
For my A-2 order, , taking away one Kilo changed the recommendation from 44 to 42. I guess, I could have gone with both, but the 42 certainly avoids the dreaded "blousy" look.

I am 188cm and around 80kg (41" chest, 33" waist), i have tried the Eastman A-1 at the pop up store and a 44 was a good snug fit on me, the 42 (my usual size) was far too small. The one thing that prevented me from buying was the length, i would have wanted 1" more in body and sleeve length.

So, from what I understand, there's nothing wrong with sizing up one, or possibly also two sizes for Eastman A-1. I like it snug, so I'll settle with going up to 44 from 42. Thanks alot, guys! I really appreciate your feedback!

Thanks guys! I ended up getting the Eastman A-1 in size 44. Just got it a day ago. Really happy how that one turned out!

Looks perfect on you, I had to size up from 46 to 48 for the A-1 and it gives a nice trim fit but can be buttoned up if desired..very underrated jackets these...
