Feels a little weird to offer used shoes on the classifieds, but I've got these up on eBay, and I thought I'd give another bigfoot Lounger a chance to try these out. I've had them a few months, but only really wore them to work (indoors), or out to a restaurant. They are nicely broken in, but not much wear and tear. Never been in the mud or in the rain, not too much wear on the soles even. Just not as stiff as new ones. I've got them listed on eBay at a starting price of $90 plus $15 shipping, but if a member here wants them before I get a bid, I'll take the auction down and let them go for $85 shipped. They've had a coat of Pecards, but that's about it. These are the darker "harness" leather. Great boots, just not for me. Edit: The bidding finally started on these, so they are no longer for sale here in the classifieds, eBay only. Thanks, Frank.

Frank, how do these run, size-wise? Don't have any RW, so do they run true to size, or?
I'm normally a 13, but sometimes do a 14 depending on make. Thanks!

Scott - all the online info says they run large, to size down. I did not find that to be true. I wear a 13.5 - 14, and these were fine. I like to have a little room in the toe box. If they were a size bigger, I would have used an insole like I do on most of my boots for comfort, but at this size, the main body of the boot was a tad too fitted for that. Thanks, Frank.

I got told told to size up, normally a 13.the 12 was really too small, so sent them back, 12 is the largest size they send to Oz...

Hmm. Thanks guys. Now I'm torn…
Frank, maybe if you get a minute (whenever, no rush) could you measure the sole? Just to compare to what I have here. Thanks!

Scott - from end to end, the sole is exactly 14" long. The soles stick out about 1/4 of an inch in front from the actual foot of the shoe, and nearly the same in back, if that helps at all.

I believe it's a medium, or "D" width. That's about all you get from Red Wing in a size 14. They're not that narrow, though. I'm used to wearing a wider boot, and these are not tight where it would bother me. Frank.

Frank. Thanks a lot. Measured 3 pairs and those are about 3/4" lomger than any of them. Damn, I really want those too.

Might be interested. I normally wear a 15, but I'll measure some of my boots to see how they compare.

Thanks for the interest boys, but I finally got a bid on eBay, so they'll have to be purchased there. I don't expect these will go super high, but it's already $20 more than I was asking here. Thanks, Frank.

gee I would give you 175 here, but you can't take it, too bad.

I just guess you like paying ebays 15% fees, too much. :eusa_clap

A qualifying bid on eBay creates a legal contract; the seller is obliged to sell to the highest bid over the reserve (if set), and can only pull the auction in very limited circumstances. Sadly, this is all too often abused, and eBay are often, in my experience, very poor at enforcing their own rules once they have their auction fees.
