I suppose that's always a possibility. However, if it was effective at being cooler for summer wear, I think we would have seen it become a standard, rather than the rarity that it is.

Finally some pics

I tried bashing this hat many ways. Its a very easy hat for dry bashing. In the end I decided on a classic center crease but I may change my mind.

Anyway, here are some pics if you're interested:

You can faintly see the Guild and Dobbs logos here:

Noggin shot

Finally, I'd appreciate opinions on whether the brim is too small for my face. At 2 1/4" it's the smallest brim I have. My other hats are 2 1/2" and bigger:

Thanks!

Thanks.

Thanks. I used to think that I didn't look good with smaller brims because of my broad face, but now I think the problem is with crowns. Small brims are OK (up to a point) but low crowns are a definite no-no for someone like me.

Thanks for the opinion. I appreciate it.

Roll up?

Any ideas on whether this hat could be rolled up? Maybe the fabric wrapped sweat was meant for that too since it is much lighter than a typical sweat. Also, it would be nice to have a hat that can be rolled up for travel.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

kaosharper -

The taller crown combined with the narrow brim sort of frames your face but draws the whole picture higher. I think it works well for you.

Thanks, Sue. It's become a fav. I think I'm going to try rolling it to see if that works, so I can use it for traveling. I just don't want to screw it up.
