Okay,
There may or may not have been a post already on this particular subject but to be honest i didn't really know what i was searching for.
So i've just been browsing the threads and i was gazing longingly at all these people who have managed amazing things with their hair in their pictures. I know that a fairly 'extreme' side part is quite popular but whenever i try this, my hair just flicks back to the other side and just looks, quite obviously like it shouldn't be there.

WHAT DO I DOOOOO :'(

Changing your part takes training. This means that for a while, your hair is going to want to do it's own thing. Use lots of gel while wet and hairspray while dry. I would also help to use a bobbypin or decorative clip until the hair gets used to going a new way.

I found it easier when I explained to my hairdresser that I wanted to change my parting from the one side to the other (to cover a tiny patch that's a bit thinner), and he cut my hair in a way that made it easier to train it to the other side.

Just make sure you're parting your hair whilst it's wet, then drying it into a part and securing it with product or pins. It'll take a little while before it feels natural. x

I moved mine about an inch over to the left from "slightly off center" to thankfully "side part" territory. Hairdressers totally help, and while my hair doesn't like product very much, I found that a round brush and pulling it over when I blow-dried really made a big difference.

Clips are a lot of fun too! I found the whole thing to be a lot easier when I had longer hair (more leverage/weight maybe?).

Ah!
Thankyou so much!
I've been thinking that my hair just DOESN'T go like that cause when i brushed it its like curved over?

But it looks like i'll be doing a whole lot of finger-waving to disguise the moving of a parting!

Sooo thankyou very very much!

By the way, how long did it take you?
And know of any places in britain where i can get some pretty clips and such to hold it there? :) xxxx
