Let's have a place where you can show your success and failures in the search for the right Langlitz jackets.

Here's a couple of mine to start this out.
Pictures are the first try on, from a few years ago.
Timberline in goat.
Cascade in medium steer.
Both measured at Langlitz for riding.

Let's see yours!

2nd hand Langlitz Columbia, I had the collar remade in Portland base, I dislike the look of the standard, and asked for a 40’s « togs » collar.
I might also ask for an alteration of the back kidney « tail » panel, for a more straight shaped 40’s look.
I think it’s one of the most comfortable jacket of my collection.

Here's my Cascade that I bought in 2016. Lightweight black cowhide. These pics were taken when brand new - after a year or two I ended up taking 1.25" off the back but otherwise she fits beautifully. I put it up on a thread here soon after I got it. Love it, and had a great experience with Bennie and John at Langlitz.

I wouldn't have changed anything about that fit. It looks perfect as is (was).

I thought this would be a good place to record my just purchased Langlitz jacket. Doesn't fit me but a piece textile art.

Measures shoulders 19.5" pit to pit 20.5" waist 17" back length 25"
arms 25.5"
I'm 6'2" and fits in shoulders and arms but 2"-3" too tight to zip up.
I don't think it was ever a girl jacket, I'd be really afraid of a girl with shoulders and arms like me and there's no darts sewn in.
Brass crown zippers arms and pockets but main zipper is generic replacement

Story behind it was, it belonged to 84 year old uncle of the niece selling it.
She reported it was 50+ years old.
He had it custom made when he bought a Harley pan head.
I asked about the motorcycle, said it was long gone.
I've never seen this style before, a kind of straight zip "Death Head" thing going on.
This gives me reason to go to Langlitz

That is just amazing! Sometimes I forget how special and unique some of these Langlitz creations were.

Really nice Langlitz! I've never seen it before. Would be interesting if it is really 50+ years old and what Langlitz says about it. I've just realized that it would be a perfect fit for me!!!

I've made it to Langlitz today.
On the phone Bennie said he'd seen pretty much everything in custom mods.
When I took this there he said this was a new one for him.
Said it was a late 50's early 60's. Called it a Cascade with very high pockets.
Looks like it was a lace up that was modified to zipper. The side laces were added by someone other than Langlitz. The liner was a replacement.
Got confirmation the chest piece/v-neck was done by Langlitz at manufacturing time.
