I didn't find any dedicated threads only for graining and/or evolution of leather jackets. So let this be it.

Here's my recently acquired Aero PHWM in black CX Steer:

That’s my Ventura in brown Shinki with what is certainly the nicest “out of the box” graining of any jacket I own. I will dig into my jacket collection this afternoon and see if I can’t find some examples of grain that I helped to bring out through wear.

My favourite kind of grain...

Thats lots of natural stretch marks, on my old Aero trail rider there were only few on the back and on my new jacket barely any. Might be the way they make the leather, if I'm correct they shave some of material on CX steer and HH so it may be that that will remove the natural "imperfections", perfections in my opinion. :D

No idea. These are 40 years old. Really beautiful leather tho a bit too shiny for me. But the grain is some of the nicest I'd seen.

Oh, and you can still order the Aero jeans. :D

Oh, you can. Why don't they list it?

Yeah the grain is amazing, and I love the way vintage leathers age. I wouldn't mind the shine, but I would have to probably get a bike to wear those on public, or grow bigger balls:D

They got removed from the website because people would often get the wrong size and demand a return, since you can't make a pair of trousers in the wrong size work & they really do have to be perfect, unlike jackets. And I think many people realized they didn't really need a pair of leather pants after the courier delivered the box. I can understand that too and that's why it took me years to reach the decision to buy a pair. :D

Aero still accepts orders on these from returning customers or if you're absolutely sure about the size. I lucked out with mine as I didn't know how they run but apparently the size 32 is perfect.

I don't think that the bike makes that much of a difference when it comes to these jeans styled leather pants so... I dunno. I always wanted a pair but also never felt like I can pull it off but later on I realized that either nobody cares or that I see a LOT of stuff on the street that's considered normal that I wouldn't want to be caught dead wearing. Like shorts. Why are shorts okay and leather pants such a big deal is something I'll never understand.
