Nice subtle grain (texture) and patina (the dark spots) on this 40/50 year old goatskin western shirt.

I wonder if German made leather goods have the same amazing qualities that German cutlery and cars have, we won’t get into reliability but the build quality is apparent as soon as you climb into a high end German made vehicleI particularly love the leather on my old jeans. Made in Germany.

Being in the USA we probably don’t see as much but I remember marc saying he was impressed by the quality of the vintage German jackets regarding their build quality. They do. The more Germany made leather stuff I handle, more impressed I am. 40's to 50's Germany tanned leather is particularly amazing.
Unless you end up with a jacket made from German paper- leather like me and @regius.They do. The more Germany made leather stuff I handle, more impressed I am. 40's to 50's Germany tanned leather is particularly amazing.
Check out these 40s German made breeches. Doesn't get much better in terms of leather and construction quality.Being in the USA we probably don’t see as much but I remember marc saying he was impressed by the quality of the vintage German jackets regarding their build quality.
German makers generally didn't use labels, especially to those from the 30s/40s/50s. There are exceptions like Haelson or Marke Bergfreund or Harro.I don’t know of many German made leather jackets
He's more of an enthusiast then a professional maker. That's Austria by the way, not Germany.Whitefeather J21 looks like an interesting option
Two weeks of very light wear on this BB Vic. I definitely see some warm brown undertones when it’s in sunlight and next to something pure black. The creasing is just beautiful and the grain is just starting to pop. It really is a spectacular hide.
