I am a maaasssssive fan of stockings and vintage/ vintage inspired shapewear; what I mean by this is open bottom girdles, panty girdles, bullet or cone bras, suspender belts, corselettes, corsets etc. Does anyone out there wear the good stuff on a regular basis?

I post regular images on my blog (www.thenylonswish.com) but I would love to see some other women in their undies! Do you wear stockings on a regular basis? Do you like to make the most of your vintage dresses by wearing bullet bras and cinching your waist for that delicious hourglass shape??

I'm with you – almost – all the way...
I wear shapewear, most often a 6 strap open bottom girdle, a bra (haven't tried a bullet style bra yet, though) and nylon stockings (preferably without stretch, and most preferably fully fashioned) on a daily basis – and for me the shapewear and the stockings are actually the most essential aspect of my vintage / vintage inspired identity, because they give me 'the feeling' from inside out, regerdles of what can be seen or through the eye of a beholder.
Of course I have tried it the other way around: wearing non-vintage undies under vintage skirts etc., but it just doesn't feel right.
So, like a good girl, I will put on my girdle and stockings every morning
Where I differ from you is that I don't have your guts with regard to publishing photos. I love your photos, they are incredibly sexy and inspiring, but I have to admit that I'm bit of a chicken...

Dear Lord, I think that might the blog of my dreams. Thank you for posting it!

I wear longlines on a daily basis, long line bras in vintage cuts may be the best thing that ever happened to my bust, my silhouette and the fit of my wardrobe. Often panty girdles, waist cinchers and open bottom girdles when I dress up, for reenactment purposes or when I just want to wear stockings and feel extra pretty underneath. I love them, but chafing is an issue for me, and good pettipants are hard to come by.

They have to be longer, I'm afraid, otherwise they'll just ride up. It is hard. Damella make nice, cool viscose ones, but they're not very pretty. I have a few pairs, though, and I really should make my own, but it's one of those boring things to sew. I like the culotte type that looks like a half slip with lace appliqué along the edges of a center front and back slit.
