After reading 10 pages of Stingy posts, looks like I can come out of the closet...
Cavanaugh stingy, color Onyx (like black coffee), one of the nicest hats in my meager collection. Can't stop stroking the luxurious felt. My wife calls this one my "Rat Pack Hat". Probably kind of appropriate, Frank's favorite maker?

Since I've seen photos of Frank Sinatra and a Mercedes 230 SL Convertible...the obligatory 1960s vintage Benz pin!

My Resistol Kitten Finish stingy, prob. from the early Sixties. Sort of the kind of hat Robert Lansing would have worn, I imagine, portraying Det. Steve Carella in the 87th Precinct TV series of those days:




It's odd; I don't wear it that often, though I love it when I do. I don't call it my "favorite." But it sits protected by a plastic sheet on my in-closet dresser, whereas all my other lids are either in boxes or out on bookcase shelves in the living room. And it's the only one I've ever left the feather in.

This one I picked up over the weekend and, although it is a bit small, it also confirms that I can't pull off the stingy "look". It looks good on my wife though! 1-7/8" brim.

Nice additions here fellas. Though there may be some sort of general stigma associated with the stingy, it's relevance can't be denied in the history of hats. They had their place in the sun for several decades. Anecdotally, nothing beats the practicality of wearing one while driving the modern car with their supersized safety headrests

I’m not sure if this is considered vintage or not. It has a frayed cloth size tag.
I don’t wear it, but I guess I can embrace it. Very stingy at 1.75”
