Looking for a Pattern...

(If this isn't posted correctly, please feel free to move it!)

I am looking for a pattern for a ladies' long robe that has a fitted waist. I've noticed in a lot of old movies that the robes or dressing gowns that women wore tended to have waistbands. (I hate the extra bulk of fabric bunched around my waist just to accomodate a multitude of sizes in ready-to-wear robes!) Does anyone know of a pattern of this sort, vintage or other? Thanks for any help you might offer!!

The pocket is missing from the pattern, but I've got loads of other patterns so I'm sure I'll find a pocket somewhere! Only got this last week, another to add to the "So-Easy" collection :D

Aurora, I have one of those So-Easy patterns too. It looks like this:

For some reason these don't seem easy to come by. The illustrations are the best, I'd love to see your entire collection. :)

Swingtimegal, I love that McCall pattern! Please post photos when you have finished it!

Will do! I'm super exicted--I was talking to my mother-in-law yesterday about the summer playsuit patterns (she's 72), and she had a great time reminicing about the fashions.

I've got piles of fabric pre-washed and ready to go, now I just need to get moving on my projects!

Great patterns, everyone! Zaika, I'm super jealous that you can knit! It's a skill I could never pick up.

Such a cute blouse! Aurora, you can make your own pocket pattern piece. Just sketch out the size and shape (mimic the picture if you want), add seam allowance (usually 1/2" for the sides and between 1/2" and 1" for the top), and you're good to go.

You can also fold a piece of paper and sketch 1/2, cut and unfold, like we used to make hearts. That way you're certain to be symmetrical. :)

I have this pattern that I just scanned in at full size that I could e-mail to anyone if interested. If you want to print at full size any blue print company could do this for a couple of dollars.

I love this one. Yeah, they are also so expensive when you do find them! I was bidding on a So-Easy coat pattern, it eventually sold for £21.99!

I can't seem to scale down the pictures, so I'll list them in a few posts :)

Picked this up today! I need a good trouser pattern. Want me some of those high waisted trousers that apparently made in sizes larger than an 8 lol

I know someone who made the skirt and jacket from this pattern, except she didn't finish the cuffs and spent the day unravelling lol

I just finished that Simplicity repro pattern - I made the pants. They turned out really well - the only thing I'd change about them is I would add pockets, and maybe a button closure instead of the zipper. But they fit really well!

This is the pattern I made all my slacks from. Word of thought; you might want to make up a mock up going by the finished garment measurements (generally written on the pattern piece) and apply that to your size instead of the person measurements because I went by person, and they were way tooooo big. Plus the crotch is too high (especially if your plus size) so cut about an inch or two out :)
