I've gotten lucky lately at finding larger 50's patterns.

My first two real vintage patterns (I've bought some reproductions before but now I'm getting braver!)

I also need to go "shopping" in my mom's sewing room. She probably still has every pattern she ever bought so that could be a gold mine! ;)

Gee, it's been quiet in here! No posts since February? I'm sure you've all still been buying patterns. ;)

Here's a few I've bought recently.

This one ony has the coat, but I'm sure I can rustle up a similar skirt pattern out of my stash.

You must make the dress in the brown print, I'm so jealous!

P.S. Gene Tierney's hat style was called Spaniel's Ears. Imagine, such a funny name for a pretty and flattering style.

Thank you, ladies! I'm rather pleased with this lot.

Miss T, my other half says the lady in the white dress and jacket looks like me. I must have been a pattern model in another life, as a friend found another that also looked like me! LOL.

Film Noir, I found a fabulous brown print fabric with creamy white flowers/butterflies but they sold out before I could buy any. Boo hoo! Have to keep my eye out for something similar.

Beautiful patterns Miss Sis. I too love 1930's McCalls patterns. I've had great look with them and the finished products alsways look like the pattern illustations.
I have that simplicity pattern but mine is in poor shape. I don't think I've purchased a pattern since my last post except for one I just got for my sister. I am trying to get rid of quite a few.

www.clothdollsupply.com has a great deal of vintage doll patterns that she sells photocopies of for reasonable prices. The photocopies are printed on nice paper, and are all complete. Of course if you want the *actual* vintage pattern for your collection, then you're out of luck, but I've bought many patterns from there and have always been pleased with the finished toys. This has reminded me that my little girl is just getting to an age where she wants to dress and undress her dollies, so I have to dig out some of these patterns and get sewing after she has gone to bed if I want to have them ready for her second birthday!

Lady Day love the sundress pattern, Kamikat I love all of those patterns, they're going to look great on you.

This is my latest find on ebay, came in a joblot listed as seven 60's, 70's and 80's vintage patterns, so it seems no one else saw it as I got it for £1.47 plus postage.
