Will the pants make my legs look they go on for miles like the gals in the illustration? If so I very much need those pants!

I like 30s wide leg trousers, but for a larger frame, I find they are a bit too diaper like, especially if your thighs touch. I find 40s trousers cut a bit leaner, but still have a great drape.

Ok, thank you for correcting me. English isn't my first language and I had never heard that word before :)

I am glad I didn't offend you by correcting! I figured if you were perhaps going to need the word to search with it would be helpful to know what it is. But your English is really good!

Ï see no point in getting offended, its better to take the opportunity to learn something new :)

This is the first new one I've bought in a long time. :) I love the interesting shaped waist, and the jacket with the short sleeves and waist length.

I just picked up some medium/heavy black wool flannel, too, so I think I'll use that for my first version of this. It's such easy stuff to work with!

Aww, thanks, ladies! LD, the length of the sleeves is what caught my eye first. It's such a cute look, I think.

I have had some high end Italian coating in my stash for nearly 10 years and this is the year it gets made into a coat!

I'm making the double breasted view in a mauve coating. I'll need something for contrast, maybe a white velveteen.

The illustration is amusing, it looks like the left hand girl is grabbing the other one's pants.

Ive seen a lot of hand holding, and even ladies flipping up the hem on specific pattern covers. Gals were so much more friendly back then :)
