@Marc mndt what‘s the measurement from lower seam of halfbelt strip to bottom? In about 20cm range? I am asking because the back of this particular Jacket is one of most homogenous one I have ever seen…
It's very well proportioned right?

Total length is 65 cm or 25.5' for the loungers across the pond.

19 cm / 7.5' from belt to hem.

Today I spotted this Seattle Woolen halfbelt on Instagram, which looks quite similar to my 'The Bon Marché'. Would there be a connection?

Yes, you may have made a connection. they look to be identical except for the back yoke? I have never seen the Seattle Woolen jacket you pictured. I just sold a most beautiful Seattle Woolen Mulholland style jacket. It was in Pony. I've owned a couple of others in the same style in very heavy horsehide.

There is a bit about the company in a search. Odd a Woolen Co would make leather jackets! I've seen very few with their label. I've seen the police style with no label, common practice then.

I have seen enough to know they made great jackets, just rare today.

One of my favorites

Couldn't agree more! I'd assume it's been through some use too judging by the discoloration on the collar (I've only had it for a few weeks).
Man that is the best vintage jacket I've ever seen! Goatskin is great, it's not like cow or horse at all

Thank you sir :D

This jacket has definitely made me a fan of vintage goat. Super easy to wear (soft, pliable, not hot) and they're usually in much better condition. I truly hope I look like an old goat when I'm older.

Overall it's a neatly constructed jacket. Except for the sleeve body attachment, either the machinist was hungover or not very experienced as you can see there's a lot of puckering going on at the left sleeve cap. One side of the zipper has been replaced (the male side) while the other side is original.

It came without a label but luckily I bought a spare one some time ago.

I am digging the neapolitan shoulders, intended or not, they've got a very chill vibe. Goatskin aged exceptional well. This is a nice clean design, waiting to be repro'ed. The tobacco pocket are really small on these vintage jackets. Do they even fit the softpack? Or was it intended for loose leaf tobacco?

I don't love them but I can live with them. Indeed a relaxed vibe. Also pirate shirt vibe lol.

I actually thought about that, why are interesting quirky designs like these not being repro'ed? I guess they don't appeal to the general repro workwear crowd. The people who actually do like these designs probably want an original instead of a repro.

Yes it's absolutely tiny. No tobacco residue in here, just a label with some numbers. Does it say 40? I don't think it's a 40, ptp is more like a vintage 44.
