Not as strange as driving a left hand drive car on our side of the road!

I imported it in 91 and converted it myself in 95 after numerous complaints from the other half.

Nothing like your passenger staring at oncoming traffic when you pull out to overtake. She never was a good passenger anyway.... shakeshead

Mine, just a low mileage survivor I converted to RHD.

Chalky paint, pitted chrome and engine fumes - it doesn't get much better I reckon

I did it myself at home in the shed. I had a guy do the hot work as I don't have a welder - dashboard and floor pedal seals are welded in. My wife as travelling so I had a pretty clear run at it.

1982 Chevrolet ~ Berlinetta Camaro

I bought this new in '82 and it has less than 9,000 miles on the odometer. It is all original (minus the battery, which has been replaced). I back it out of the garage and wash and wax it, just so my wife isn't embarrassed to drive it needing a wash job! Our '72 Chevy 1/2 ton pick-up gets most of the driving.

That may be the nicest looking example of that car I have ever seen. I grew up with a girl who got one as her first car when we were in HS. White with a red interior. Your is much sharper!

I know neither of these are cars, but the thread does state vehicles.

These are a couple red aircooled vehicles which have kept me amused for a few years now. The Piper is currently the oldest of my menagerie of things with motors (though I hope to change that soon). It is a 1968.

The Ducati is a 1993.

TBH, actually I'm a Firebird guy (you've seen the details already here for what I have in mind), but with how many common parts and mutual "issues" there are it's only prudent for both sides of the F-body community to watch out for each other...

From the era back when some prestidgeous automobiles were considered "Land Yatchs!"


Also, you need to work up a "Deed to the Road" to keep in the glove compartment. With a car this large, it is useful when explaining why you need to pull so far forward or back (to be able to see) in certain situations. The you can simply pull out the deed and say: " Yes, in fact I do own the road."

Well, that post war Buick does seem large, however, it only looks that way next to that little Mazda.

40s cars look larger then they really are. Today’s SUV's are larger... and the cars of the late 50s to the 70s are true land yachts!

Cars of the 40s only looked large, when one sees one up close, it's really just an optical illusion. They mostly just stand taller then the compact and sports cars of today... almost same width as most cars today... I've even parked my '46 four door in a compact spot in a three level parking garage! lol

Straighteight, that is a beautiful Buick... is that a '47? I love the two door fast backs of the 40s... just so sleek!

The Buick is a technically a '49 but it's really a '48 as there really was no '49 Special.

I didn't know that any of those made it stateside. We have a 15 year import rule here in Canada so the first of the Cappuccinos are starting to be seen on the roads along with the Honda Beat.
