Not sure how widely available it is outside the UK, but Issue 11 of Built motorcycle magazine landed on my doorstep this morning. This issue includes a short piece on Gary Eastman's motorcycle collection. He has some lovely stuff - including one of the bikes they used on the ELMC desert shoot. Expensive hobby - maybe why Eastman prices shot up in recent years? ;) :p Lovely bikes. Worth a look if you get the chance.

There's always a story... I picked this 1971 FIAT 124 Spider up off the front lawn of a surgeon I worked with in Kenilworth, IL (just north of Chicago - lake front property). He had a party on the weekend and his kid just returned it after running away. It didn't start and was pushed under the bushes on the front lawn. Apparently his ex- beat it to @#$%. I took it off his hands for $1.00 and towed it home.

I put $1400 into it. It wasn't a frame-off job, so pieces of rust still fell off. However, it was great fun!

The final picture is yet another attempt to knock the rust off... SCCA Slalom Rally at State Fare Park in Milwaukee.
