This isn't a a current tractor. Photo of my dad about 1959 with the 1952 JD A we had. This is the first tractor I ever drove. About six years later he traded it for a JD 620. I really liked the 620 'cause it had power steering, something the A didn't have. :)

The neighbor came by to help me take down a 50-year-old pine tree that had died and was threatening to fall towards the house. We used his tractor and logging chain to put tension on the tree to persuade it to fall the other way. The tractor is a 1960 Massey Ferguson.

A tractor? Go back a page. :)

A chainsaw? Got two -- in case one gets stuck.

A logging chain? Mine has been tied to the tree for a couple of months in case the wind took it down.

I was just nervous to fell it myself as it was weighted and leaning towards the house and was plenty tall enough to hit it. The neighbor has years more experience and offered to help.

Or did you mean why don't I have a Massey-Ferguson. Because I already have a Ford! :D:D:D

My 1950 Farmall Cub. I fabbed the carryall from a set of pallet forks and a fast-hitch point I picked up from at a salvage dealer. She gets regular use mowing my 2 acre field and maintaining the lane coming in from the road.
