I'm usually more of a bold look guy but couldn't pass up these 30's era ties I found at a yard sale for 25 cents apiece today. I did get one bold look out of the bunch and, for some reason, the really sedate burgundy on the left has a look that I really like.

I have 2 of those Priestley in different shade love them. nice haul! Im a 30s man myself.

I think the 'Special Quality' ties were the first ones that Tootal lined. Special Quality appears to have been used between 1940 & 1950. After that the introduced the colour coding system and it was the 'Black Quality' ties that were lined.

Esteban - that's a nice little haul you've got there. I think the 'Duggie' label looks relatively early - it seems different to the labels I've seen on some of their other stuff.
