46 inches...with instructions included!
The grip lock and end lock ties were nice concepts. Threading the small end through the label later replaced them because they are cheaper to make. :eusa_doh:

Okay a couple of you wanted to see car ties, so here are two of them. The one on the left has no manufacturer's label, but it is silk; the second simply says that it was made in California.
Today's thrift store find, a nifty Haband necktie with a palm tree motif. Interestingly, the front blade says "Van Wert" on the inside. Width is about 4", length 53," made of rayon.

Cool! Palm trees for Palm Sunday?
Does it look hand painted? A Van Wert is not exactly something I would expect to find in a thrift store. That was a great find!
'30s on the left (much shorter than the other) and late '40s to early '50s on right. I finally 'got the girl'!! Set me back five clams each (ha!) but I've been looking for one of those peekaboos for a while so I didn't quibble.
^^Yes, that airbrushed one is a trip, Baron. Ohrbach's was considered upscale; went under about 15 years ago. I've never heard of Linde before...
