Most excellent!!!
Thanks guys!Oh yeah! Love them both.
Great finds! Some recent finds......one on the right is a "Reversible Tie" with a different pattern on each side , the one on the left was patented in 1952 as a one fabric easy care tie that will not disfigure due to differential shrinkage from multiple fabrics (separate filler/backing). Green one is a "Beau Brummell". Black one is an Army Issue wool cravat. View attachment 463251
I haven't added a tie to the collection in quite a while (and it looks like I'm not the only one) but when I came across this one I had to nab it.
No label, and it's got some tape residue that may or may not come clean, but those things weren't a dealbreaker.
Outstanding!!!

In fact, this thread has been a bit lonely lately. All the more great is its revival with your wonderful arrangement of palms and flamingos, Dale!I haven't added a tie to the collection in quite a while (and it looks like I'm not the only one) but when I came across this one I had to nab it.

Fantastic Dale! I've been looking, but only find marginally interesting ones and the prices have jumped in the last year or two.

Thanks guys. To be truthful, I've been trying to throttle back on the tie purchasing, but I couldn't pass this one for the price. In fact, this thread has been a bit lonely lately. All the more great is its revival with your wonderful arrangement of palms and flamingos, Dale!
Love it, best appropriate way to hang vintage tiesSince I have not posted here for a long time myself,
I would like to show the latest acquisition:
Today no tie but a wonderful tie rack - my first...
50s streamline / art deco design - amber plastic

Thank you, gentlemen! I was surprised to find this one, where the market for tie racks in Germany is very small. It is not the usual hook bar and that for small money, too. What more could you want...?That is fantastic!
You are right on both accounts. Dale's fabulous tie and the loneliness of this thread. Your tie rack is so sinful. In fact, this thread has been a bit lonely lately. All the more great is its revival with your wonderful arrangement of palms and flamingos, Dale!
Thank you, sir! But do me a favor and don't let your wife hear about the desire. You are right on both accounts. Dale's fabulous tie and the loneliness of this thread. Your tie rack is so sinful.
Sinful? Oh yes, how I covet it .
