The Mosley is on its way to Germany now. Maybe Fastuni will post photos of the label when he receives it. I'll try to remember to take a shot of the Suedona label later.

A few different ones to the sort I usually like.

A 'Trias' silk tie by 'Foster Brothers', and a rather creased anti-crease 'Linosair' (oh the irony) from 'Hilton Hird' tie specialist shop in Llandudno.




An unusual 'Pennleigh' (which I've been told is American? Perhaps someone can confirm?) with a square end and a nice horse-and-carriage motif. Thought it might be a boy's tie but the length would suggest otherwise.


This sadly has no label (cut out), and I can't really work out what the picture is about - maybe somebody else has suggestions? I would assume American due to the asymmetric construction, and I can't tell whether it has faded or whether that is part of the fabric colour. Almost definitely silk.

Nice ones Eddie! I really like the Linosair and the last one with the embroidered accent. You're straying awfully close to bold tie territory with a couple of those. Watch out.

You can get some serious money for the third tie from the left there. They are all nice ones though.

Dh66 - Thanks! I still can't work out whether it's like some sort of Olympic torch type of picture, or maybe Aztec sacrifice, or a giant red fellow on top of some sky scrapers. And as for their boldness...well...everybody has to have some spice in their life haha! Those painted ties you have there are really superb. I like the one with the little map on. Seems like a good concept for a tie to take further...a six-fold tie with a fold out map maybe?

TT - Thanks - it's super short at about 43", and the reinforced neck stitching detail is something I've never come across before on non-wool ties. The only down side is that (out of shot) it has a strange blue-ish stain, almost as if the colour has run but only in one patch. Luckily it doesn't come into the knot, so it's hidden under my collar.

Aztec or Olympian - I was reluctant to make that call myself, but he definately apeears to be ascending some massive art deco/modern edifice.
Interestingly, I have a couple of ties with embroidered accents, I would imagine from around the same time frame, and both of them, like yours, are a strange indeterminate shade of purple/mauve. Must've been a popular color back then.
