I think the spareness of dots makes it speak a little louder. It definately is an attention grabber.

The fabric color doesn't come through well in photos, but it's a grayish-silver. The maroon polka dots with that fabric pop pretty well.

JP, polka dots over most stripes all day long.:D

I stood a fair a couple of weeks ago and bought a few ties from a lady who was retiring and selling up, she'd a few more but sadly the moths had been hungry!
These however were the 'best' ones, 3 American and 2 British;
First up the American contingent;

They were both quite grubby but a hand wash with some Ace bleach involved brought them up good as new, the red and white is very white and the Austin Reed is a cream colour with blue embroidering.
I guess these would have been worn for summer activity?
