^^And from the New Yorker line...Majestic did have some dandies.

there were just so many Dandies int he day that it was hard to choose a tie then. Nowadays they all stink so bad that it is hard to choose a decent tie. :p:doh:
Oh and I forgot to mention that over the weekend a friend and I went to an antique society sale and they had a basket of $1 ties. We got six good one out of it. Two 30s, two 40s and two 50s ties. Not bad. :p

Here's a couple of embroidered ones to start the week. They actually are more purple hued than they photographed. One is 2 1/2, other 2 7/8. Transitional period, my guess either early to mid 50s or later 60s. The store on the tag of the skinnier one closed in early 70s. My dad worked there a while in the 60s

A couple of recent finds:

This was a 50p find in a charity shop - Originally from C.A. Christey in Quadrant Arcade, London.

I guess this is thirties or forties, sold originally by a shop in Southend on Sea. Unfortunately the label has faded:

Great finds TT! Here my 2 Euros Fleamarket find from today - made by "Leko" (Anyone ever heard about this maker?) - I guess German.
How would the tie experts date this? I think something between late 1930's to early 1950's. Ties tended to be conservative in Germany for a long time.

I'm guessing late '50s. Always nice to see a Wembley.

Fastuni: My guess would be fifties. I had a bundle of old German ties and loads of them were East German made with the VEB label (which dates them from the late fortes onwards). The style and shape reminds me of those. What length is it?
