I have one skinny tie I bought, I don't think it's much more than an inch wide. It looks like it would hardly cover shirt buttons lol
3"? It should be 4" at least.![]()
Excuse me, the term is "girth-challenged"...
That soiunds like a double entent there.![]()
Here are two deadstock 1930s French ties, that FFF posted on the thread having spotted them as part of a batch for sale, which was purchased by HBK, and then these two were sold on to me. I am very happy with them.
The colours on this one are most vivid:![]()

And that is quite a tie to conjure up visions of the Emerald Isle.
That is a nice-looking tie, and I bet the material is as thin as a razor...
It is indeed.

I like the paisley chevrons on this one, although the bottom motif is a bit "busy," I think. What's the composition, rayon, and is it now part of your extensive collection? A Signet tie, eh?
Flaming hot around these parts today......
no label....

A Superba Cravats. This sold for $1.50 back in the day at Harrison's. The label still has the price tag on the backside.

Both great, and it's especially fine to find a tie with its price tag and cardboard "wrap" still in place.
I second that. Another example of the feather theme you mentioned before.
The Flame tie is one I have not seen before.
From a flea market years ago. It's gonna be 90 degrees here today....![]()
