The wife scored big time at the antique store yesterday. Anyone know anything about the era rings-as in date range,maker etc.? The purse is obviously from the 20’s and is missing some tassels but is really in great shape.

Carhartt FR (Flame Resistant) duck sherpa-lined vest for $8.00.

From Southern California apparently.

Mid-1930s to early-1940s Craftsman shop apron (which will be a display piece in the shop) for $10.00.

A Henckels 10” carving knife for $1.00.

A heavy-duty beveled-edge spatula for a quarter.

A vintage Bill Ding set. My Grandma had a similar set that we played with when visiting her. I don’t recall Bill being such a psycho though.

I do recall my daughter “marrying” Bill Ding when she was in the third grade. I hope it was a less demented descendant of this fellow. The marriage was annulled before I had a chance to meet him.

It has been a good loooong while since I came across anything of this caliber in a thrift store...and it was only $5. I can remember a time when stuff like this could be had for well under a buck, but given the prices of everything these days I'm sure not complaining.

The PBNs were part of a three dog set originally. Not sure of the year. $10 each from the first day of an estate sale.

Tie rack. $10 from a flea market.

Hawaiian bark-cloth necktie. $2.20 from Goodwill.

Most of 1952’s issues of Boy’s Life plus a Forest Trees of Missouri from the same year. $1.00 each.

Wrangler fleece lined denim jacket. $20.00 from Goodwill.

2002 Paul Bond calf and shark boots. $30.00 from a flea market.

You're lucky your Goodwill stores still value good will. Ours in Nashville have all bumped their prices up $2 across the board and essentially eliminated the colored tag discounts. On the donation side, they've gotten fussy about what they accept...

Found this 1950s suit in a Goodwill for $9.99 a little over a year ago. The jacket is a little bit big on me but the pants fit nicely (sadly they don't have suspender buttons). It's made by Timely Clothes of Livingston, MT, and has a union tag which (I believe) puts the approximate date of manufacture in the 1949-1961 range.
