Thanks Tony, I was told it would run, but while it will pull start, the original battery and starter have been removed.
The paint looks good to me so I may leave it with that used look.

I'm right there with you, Rusty. I'd just clean it up, if it were mine. Fresh paint, etc., would not only render it less authentic, it would, to my way of seeing things, reduce its coolness quotient significantly. I mean, it's a lawn tractor, fer cryin' out loud.

I ran across this 1963 Wheel Horse at a yard sale a few weeks ago for $50.
I plan on picking it up this weekend.
I hope to 'fix' it up.

I am insanely jealous how cool is that? I 'd just clean off the rust possibly paint the wheels then put a satin clearcoat over the whole to preserve IF I did anything to it at all!.great find...the fun you'll have with that!

Thanks! That was why I had fix in quotes! I like the old look of it.
I do know I will have to put new back tires on as one is a turf tire and the other has lugs. But I do plan to clean up the rims.
I have several things to use around the yard, a chipper, lawn sweeper, ect that I plan to pull with this one.
I should pick it up soon.

Good luck at the Sally Ann today. We found a Hamilton Beach model G mixer with a Canadian patent date of 1938 in great shape. Coincidently, we had found the two white Pyrex mixing bowls for this blender yesterday in a totally different place! Now I've got two sets of bowls, plus the mixer.

And more exciting, at least for me, at the second Salvation Army thrift store we spotted this excellent bronze sculpture by noted Toronto sculptor May Marx. What a find for a thrift store! Amazing.

The stuff that pops up in thrift stores never ceases to amaze me.

Great finds, David. I've been on the lookout for a stand mixer for, oh, a few years now. It's not that they don't pop up here and there, but I've yet to find one at a price I'm willing to pay.

Thanks Tonyb. I find that thrift store shopping is all about perseverance. Sooner or later, you'll find a mixer for the price you're willing to pay. The fun is in the hunt...with the occasional 'find', of course, to keep you going!

I got this yesterday for £5, I am pretty sure the wire hanger is a replacement but how cool is it, I always take a clothes brush and hangers now I can just take this and one less hanger...it even works well!
I am going to make a new hanger with and old wire coat hanger;

Thanks very much. Picked it up for 15 bucks, it is a Touch Sensor from Japan. It's brass with enamel coating. I think it's from the late 70's. The Ronson, I believe is from early 60's or late 50's that model has been in production a long time.

That sounds about right. The Variflame was indeed produced for a long time. I have the standard Variflame. You have one step up from mine. They even made some silver ones if I remember correctly. :D Getting the correct atttachment to fill them without spilling the butane is interesting to say the least. :p

I was able to get 4 pieces, we are going to redo our kitchen in an olive greenish color. I also picked up some other plates that are different pattern but similar coloring. I will try to get pics of them and post them as well....found them all at Goodwill.
