A vintage Mexican tablecloth and a few other linen ones. $1.00 each.

A couple of jigsaw puzzles for 50-cents each.

The bear art is from 1962.

A park service type sign (Montana? Alaska? Dunno …). $12.00. Sh*t Creek jokes welcomed.

And a silver (colored) concho belt that will make a cool hatband. $3.00

The Boss wanted a place to put hats, keys and umbrellas so we found a hall tree. I am guessing Art Nouveau due to the hooks. It was taken apart at some point and put back together poorly. So at some point after I retire I have another project.

Picked up this WW1 German Iron Cross at a yard sale this morning. Could be a repro but for two bucks I'm not complaining!

Large copper bowls made in England ($4 and $3) from a thrift store and a set of Staub enameled cast iron cookware from France for $20 — from a flea market vendor that obviously didn’t do much research as these four pieces together retail north of $500 new — and these are like new.

And another necktie (for $2).

It’s almost stunning that a seller in this day and age wouldn’t take a few seconds to look up online what that stuff costs.

And to think I thought I got a steal on this Danish Copco enamel-on-iron stuff, for which I paid $120 several months ago, as I recall. It’s true vintage, though, and they ain’t making it anymore and haven’t for quite some time. I see pieces from this line come up on eBay at what seem reasonable prices, and some that’s apparently in search of a sucker.

You know the kinda cliche adage “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good”?

There’s a reason cliches become that. I don’t ever expect to get the kind of deal you got on that Staub stuff, but if I came across it at five times that price I’d snap it up.

I hope whoever had that corn-stick pan didn’t use it like my Dad did in the ‘70s. We used them to pour molten lead into (from wheel weights we found) to make easily stored/handled ingots that later we melted again and used to make bullets for our black-powder guns.

An addition to my old clock collection. I found it yesterday in a junk store in Cross Plains, Wisconsin. I had flown in to nearby Madison (the city of my birth, lo those many years ago) to attend a funeral.

A little noodling around online has me thinking this is a Telechron 2H15, dating from the early postwar period.
It’s been hanging on this cabinet since last night. Keeps good time.

Also I discovered the glass pattern of the butter dish. It's Anchor Hocking Wexford. They made the stuff from 67 til around 98 I think.

A pretty nice djembe drum......and the catch of the day, SANTO!! El enmascarado de plata. The greatest Mexican wrestler of all time. If you aren't familiar with his movies, you owe it to yourself to get that way.
