Bakelite desk lamp from the scrapyard. Cleaned and repaired, as good as new.
Welcome back!
That isn't a lunch box. That is a toolbox.
Speaking of aviation...heres a 1940/50's Marx toy DC4
Its made of pressed steel and still has the Pan Am decals..although this toy has seen better days
I think its pretty cool and I am going to hang it in my office (I work in aviation)
That delta wing plane from the 50s is pretty cool - do you know what it is?
Five unused copper pans, $5.00 for the lot.
Antique gold-filled eyeglasses, $5.00. Simple magnifying lenses, so I can use them as is for reading glasses.
Also picked up a pristine Singer 99 for $5.00. I had one already, but this one is in better condition. It also came with a box full of attachments, some of which I've never seen before and have no idea what they're for. I'll post them in the sewing machine thread and see if anyone can identify them.
Yes, it is a Vulcan! Not a jet fan myself, but the Vulcan sure had the right lines. It's the prototype Vulcan. great planes.
Yesterday was a good day at the garage sales - lots of good stuff for five bucks or less...
Nice Electrolux, $5.00 - it's got a few dents but it works great. No attachments, but the attachments from our old vacuum will fit it.

Royal Doulton Bunnykins bowl, $1.00 - It has a chip on the edge, but my granddaughter will still love it and for a buck, it's no great loss if she breaks it.
