Thanks for the kind words, despite the rotten pics. I concur with you about the nonsense that is 'don't wear brown in town', I should think that at this point in our history, it's moot! :D

Just had a spin through your blog, BTW, excellent! I often wear blue and brown together, works a treat – here's my 1950s Oakbrook fleck suit & blue jersey, edge-bound Paul Smith waistcoat, worn with a chocolate Lock & Co fedora (originally a homburg, I re-blocked it), brown 1950s rayon tie and brown & white spectators:

Thanks, guess it depends on the actual shade of blues & browns... just realised that I never responded to your comment about liking the collar on that shirt, sorry – wish I could reveal where you could get one, but it's a Land's End tab collar, of indeterminate age, that I picked up for a dollar in a Memphis thrift store a few years back...

props dear boy, a pipe, a stick/cane....checking your pocket watch? maybe a gun with that outfit!

I have the same problem re photo's I'd have to take them myself indoors the colours wouldn't be true and outdoors the neighbours would think I was nuts waltzing around the garden taking pictures of myself!

Nice find by the way!

Lesson learned! I hate taking posed pictures, I never know what to do with my hands!

Sounds familiar. I usually ram my hands down my pockets as well. It's even worse if someone else is taking the photo and needs ages to get it done. I always tend to look like the startled deer in the headlights... ;)

All that said I have to agree with the others: great suit, great fit!
