And the back pleats. Are you consciously pulling your shoulders forward in that shot, dagwood?

I was trying to show the pleats better. I was afraid they wouldn't show up in the picture unless I pulled forward.

Cool! I've got one just like that only different.....lol Mine is a Bi swing belted back instead of the two pleats. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one of those pleated jobs. The lapels on mine are identical. Nice find!:D

So, Hey Dagwood, what happened to your pics?[huh]

I generally take them down after a couple of days. I'll put them back up when I get home.

EDIT - Pictures are back up.

Well, it's a great jacket and I was sorry to see it disapear so soon. Do the pocket flaps actually button down or are the buttons just for looks? The buttons on my pocket flaps are just for looks.

Rooster - I am glad that you like the jacket. I'll keep the pics up.

Mine too - the buttons are just for looks.

I would like to see a picture of your jacket. I think it would be a fun/educational exercise in compare/contrast.

Good waist suppression, and the bi swing feature works properly. As you can see, the dog is totally unimpressed.lol

Jackets and dogs...

Rooster, I'm with you there! my dogs just roll their eyes and look the other way when I'm dressing as snappily as that!![huh] What can a man do?! Now if I were dressed in a dapper rabbit outfit, they'd be all over me like a rash!!!

Rooster - That is very nice!! I see what you mean - they're the same, but different.

I'll see your sportscoat, and raise. :) The union tag is frayed ('49-'68 ACWA with red numbering). The tie is Towncraft Deluxe.

Love that jacket Rooster.

Just love everything about it (that fabric is just alive and full of character) and you wear it so well too. Wear it in good health.

Here is another suit. This one is a blue pin stripe single breasted with peaked lapels. The jacket is cut deliberately quite short in the body. It also has interesting ribbing under the arm. I would say it is pre war, but has no other labels in it.

Kind Regards

Wow, i'm going back through the years here. Ben, that is remarkable. Almost as if the tailor shop had the guy who usually sews the morning coats have a go at a suit jacket. "Norman! what're you doing? It's not a morning coat!! Why with the underarm stitching?" . . . "Sorry boss". "Oh, well, the customer won't notice anyway, or we'll fobb 'im off with some story about a new innovation . . . English Drape, we'll call it."

Seriously, that's a really weird feature.
