The only stingy brim I own. Stetson Stratoliner, probably 1950's. Right at 2 inches.

I love Pork Pies aka shorter brimmed hats with telescope crowns.
Ofcourse I remember "French Connection" and Gene Hackman, but who really got me started was the character Walter White in "Breaking Bad".
Here is a private video I produced a few years ago. At that time I only had a budget wool Pork Pie hat; meanwhile I have much nicer ones from Borsalino, Panizza, Champ, dobbs, etc.

NOTHING wrong with a nice porkpie!!! Actually they were quite popular with union soldiers and officers during the civil war.....brims were usually wider in the 2 1/2 inch range as they were again in the 50's during a resurgence of popularity as a sport hat. I have two from the 50's a Lee and a Stetson each with a 2 1/2 inch brim, I do have a few other variations from the 60's with 2 inch brims....I love them all and they each have a place in my hat rotation!!

PS enjoyed the video!!!

Werner Hilton 100% beaver felt 2" brim black as spades I should toss the feather? I gave up trying to upload pictures of the interior View attachment 158783 View attachment 158784

Only the second Werner Hilton I’ve seen! Please, PLEASE try to do at least one interior shot?

Go to the window, with the hat interior facing the light, brace yourself (to help control camera shake) and try a few. We don’t have to buy film anymore, so keep shooting. Once you find the sweet spots, you’ll be shooting like pro!!
