I almost forgot I have one of these. Brand name is Brummels, which I believe is comes from France or Belgium, size 56 and spiral stitch all the way to the crown. Raw edge brim at 6,5 cm and crown at 11 cm. This an old hat and when I found it it was in an awful state. I cleaned it, replaced the unreeded sweatband (could not be saved) and tried to get some shape into it (still doesn't hold a shape well). Judging by the ribbon and bow quite old and a nice one to have.

Whip stitched edge binding and concentric brim stitching. Fahey- Brockman was a mens store in Portland up until the 1950's.

I just bought this hat. There are no markings at all. No sweatband, no liner. But beautiful nonetheless.

Nice find, Max. Should be an easy fix for Ignacio. It seems that these spiral stitch hats are often mixed felts. Maybe the stitching was both a design feature and a means to give these felts some structure.

Interesting one, Mark. That hat has a lot going on: spiral stitch brim, ventilation holes in the crown and a two tone ribbon!
