Its lightweight & nice dense feel to the felt molds & shapes like butter
I should have brushed it prior to my pic

Thank you Alan and HatsRme for telling me about this thread. I am adding my Fabroc (Fahey Brockman) . 3 inch brim on this one with concentric stitching. Looks like it was worn very little.

I did a search for Fahey Brockman. Turns out they were a men's store in Portland the first half of the last century. Here's a photo i found of the store.

Palco "Thistle."





My theory is that the Thistle was part of a line of wiry woolly country hats that also included Marc Chevalier's above. Palco seems to have specialized in spiral stitching and self ribbons.
Interesting and unique.
