these florsheims do have a size-stamp but i cant translate it.
means there is no for instance: 8 B or 7.5 C or a 280 or something like that.
stamped is 40-0 what is the size - but i cant translate this.
they fall like a 8.5 narrow.

my wife has more shoes and boots than me.
not that she wants them. but i cant resist when a type of boot appears that i didnt own.
sadly there are 10 times more shoes and boots for women out there(era 1880 to 1940s).
and womens boots are so incredibly fine made - i wish i had a copymachine to size them up to mens size.

Tigersharkskin dress shoes....they are on the classified now, but they are so nice, I may just keep them.....real heavy construction not at all like the shoes made today at all, I have a few pair of gunboats and these weigh about the same as the gunboats do.

I love the wing tips, but my feet can't take them. I have ice skate feet with high arches - 13AAA.
Luckily, my feet were made for Italian loafers

Now that I know you wear a large shoe that is narrow, I will keep my look out for some vintage for you, I have passed up a few really nice vintage ones the past few weeks mostly due to being 13 or so in size and narrow!

I bought the same exact pair in my size last week. I really like 'em. So much fun and really well made!
I am finding shoes for some reason all over, I normally am looking for hats or such, but just find old shoes that are in some decent or NOS shape. There is one vintage store here in town that has really old button & lace shoes but the leather is so dry and cracked the shoes would fall apart if worn. Myself, I wear what I buy and want to find something that can be cleaned, conditioned, polished and then worn.
