This cat has style to spare, ladies and gentlemen. He might look like he was born 50 or 60 years too late, but rest assured, he was born in the right era, just so he'd be around to inspire me to look as hep as I can, every day. If I was a kid at school again and the teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up, I'd say forget all that doctor and fireman jive, I wanna be Resortes.

Also note that he has attracted not only a very lovely lady of his own, but in every second photo he posts, he's surrounded by a bevy of exquisite beauties. That's tesimony to the man's outstanding pachuquismo right there, guys and dolls.

(For those newer members of the Lounge who are not well acquainted with my weird sense of humour, I'm making the above statements with a playful smile to deliver a sincere tribute to my 'cyber' friend whose style I deeply admire. Resortes' taste in music, clothes, etc is very much like my own, only better).

Thanks Benny Holiday you're the most! In reality, I wish I was half as hep as that description (really, I'm not that cool). Here's a pic of the pants detail on the brown tweed. . .

Now that's what I call a pair of drape trousers!

Not really that cool, huh? Well it could just be that you're photogenic or somethin'. lol Nah, I just looked at your photos again; you're definitely the epitome of hep!

What you mentioned in your earlier post about designing the blue/houndstooth Hollywood suit highlights the fact that so many members of the Lounge here are actually designing their own look, their own garments and their own style. We can't just drop into the local Jeans West shop (don't know if you got those in the USA, but no doubt you get the idea) and pick the sort of threads we dig off the rack. We actually have to put a lot of thought and effort into making the clothes we want to wear a reality, whether it's Matt Deckard striving to get the details right with numerous tailors or you putting those cool colour combos together and specifiying the cut of the shoulders, lapels, trouser leg width etc. for your suit.

If the squares who don't get the whole vintage style want to call us names, they ought to start with inventive, patient, resourceful and determined! lol

Um uh....

Actually Stanley, Matt is just showing you how the garment will expand when you move your arms WAY forward like he's doing. It will lay smoothly otherwise. It's a cut very simular to a Bi-Swing back model. With the exception on the Bi-Swing the coat opens on the sides not the middle. ;)

I know, I know. ;)

In all seriousness, I like the suit and I like all the details. The back is really cool and I see how it allows for more movement, which is sweet.

There's just something about that particular pose, and I know what he's trying to show us, but... well...

Otherwise looks great I love the Linen suit you got made in Sam's tailor... never tried him I use Presidential textiles in Central Hong Kong he is very good old Shanghai tailor....

When I get a chance I will take a few photos of the suits I got off him... sadly he isn't that cheap he charges about 4100 HKDs for a suit... but it is well worth it the finish looks great...
