Well to be honest I have a very generous (understanding!) husband and also I've been saving up for a few months now so can afford a few nice things - plus the exchange rate is often very kind! I picked up two head vases today. This one, which I'm guessing is 50's, the vendor told me is a rare nurse vase:

The second I didn't buy, because my aunt suddenly remembered she had one, and gave it to me afterwards. It reminds me so much of Betty Grable in The Dolly Sisters:

I bought this 40s dress the other day (very cheaply) on etsy, to wear to my friends wedding. I'm wearing it with a red hat with cherries and either navy or red heels, haven't decided. It's going to be quite a relaxed and informal affair!

I just hope it doesn't look frumpy on me!

c-dot - those vases are amazing...I have seen some at my local antique store ranging from 70-100 dollars.

I was looking for some comfy white summer shoes virtually forever. Funny enough, now I found two pairs in two days:

Actually, it never happened to me before. The pair with the cork heel I found at the bay after I already got the other one. Crossing my fingers that they fit, too!
