I just got these earrings - the man I bought them from said they'd belonged to his grandmother, born in 1891. I just love them:

Aren't they delicious?

Beautiful!

Thank you all! The seller told me they'd been lying untouched in his grandmother's jewellery box for at least the last 65 years so he was so glad they'd finally see the light of day and that was the reason he sold them. It made me feel a little better about paying the equivalence of a pair of earrings at H&M... Only downside is that they're really heavy!

A few items I found at one of our city's better antique malls:

Heather Co. rouge, still has the pad and some make-up in it. I'd love to smudge a bit on one day and see how bright it is compared to my blushers, especially since this one is labeled "daytime."

This satin covered little box was hiding in a corner under a pile of other items and I almost passed it up.

I flipped it over to find it was a vintage powder box from Paris!

Opened it up to find it was long cleaned out before the seller obtained it...the owner kept it to save her keepsakes in (which weren't there, sadly but don't you love finding little notes like this in things?)

It says "Tiny thimble was mine from my mother Gold thimble from France Dollar is first one earned"

Max Factor powder box...the lid is metal, the bottom says the color was "Brunette." It still smells nice inside. :) The Coty box is not quite vintage I think as the label on the bottom has a bar code, but it looks nicer than the plastic one they make now so...I got it. ;)

I've almost stopped buying clothes since I feel I have all I need, my wardrobe is full, and even more importantly, I don't want to have even more stuff to bring with me when I move to the States. So mostly I buy doll clothes for my Blythe and maybe some jewelry for me, tiny things that don't take up space. However, I've been on a bit of an orange binge; a color I used to hate but now love more than anything!

Oh, that's not me, that's the etsy seller haha! She's pretty, I agree! There are tons of pics of me on FL though if you're curious to know what I look like. Where are you from in Europe? I'm originally from the States but have lived in Sweden since forever. I'm moving to Austin, Texas in a year or two (I have to record an album, release it, promote it, and tour first!). Can't wait!

How exciting CherryLips! Good on you! You'll have to keep us up to date on your move and album recording! And thank you for the compliment on my dress - the colours remind me of Easter parades (and baskets of chocolate eggs!).

Cherry Lips - love the orange blouse!
Miss Golightly - what a great colour combination for spring, screams Easter dress to me!

ETA: Oops, just saw it reminds you of Easter as well :)

Nothing to post a pic of: On Wednesday, I bought some not so cheap modern elastic stockings because I couldn't find any others (hard to get nice affordable stockings these days). On Thursday, I went to the thrift store - there I found 14 (!) pairs of vintage stockings, probably from the 70s, 50 ct each. They fit and the material is close to nylon (I think, I never had "real nylons"), says 100% polyamide anyway.
yay! :D

Lorelai99, yes it's typical. And, can you believe it, the next day I went to a second hand store where I also found a carton of stockings! Unfortunately the color of these wasn't really wearable. I haven't found any in years, and now two dozens in two days!
I'm thinking of taking the "new new" ones back to the store. On the other hand, it's one of two shops in town which sell affordable stockings. If they decide to cancel them, it might be a good idea to have a large stack at home...

Miss G, those remind me of scarabs, which I love.
