After 2 weeks of calling round Clark's head office and a variety of stores, I finally got hold of a pair of these! I'm so happy! They're really comfy :)

I really can't fault Clarks, they've gone above and beyond the call of duty to get me a pair.
Oooh, that is brilliant! It took me lots of calling around and checking the website as well, but it was worth it. I love them! We're now all shoe-sisters... :D

I love the coat Miss G, such delicious pockets and the neckline is a lovely shape. It will look fab with one of your lovely scarves.

I love the bag too, the pattern is so unusual.

The barometer is a beauty too. I'm not good with barometers so have given up owning one as they always seem to not work when i get them home. I even lent one to a friend and it worked perfectly in her house. Some things are not meant to be.

This week i bought a cracking Hebe Sports fifties, heather-mixture, tweed skirt (eight pounds from ebay - hooray)! Plus a forties Deelow black, wool, swing coat. The coat needs a new lining, so it's at the tailor's. The skirt fits like a dream. I shall post some pics when i have my grubby mitts on them both shortly.

Thanks Miss Sofia! You read my mind about the neckline of the coat - perfect for nice scarves!

That's weird about your experiences with barometers - reminds me of something similar that happens to a friend of mine - she can't wear a watch as they all just stop working but if someone else wears the watch it will work just fine.

Your latest acquisitions sound wonderful and you must post some pictures when you get a moment! The coat sounds particularly fabulous!

BD - thank you!

This is the first time that I am showing my recent purchases, and am feeling slightly nervous.
This is a faux "Hermes" silk scarf, hand rolled edges and good quality fabric, got for an equivalent of 1.50 USD. Shoes repro, equiv 25 Usd.

Another scarf is 1950s(60s?) silk scarf with a reproduction of Pablo Picasso's picture. You may see his "signature" in the upper left corner.

I ordered a small, cause i have the Cheers dress in medium and it's a little big in the waist. I am hoping the small isn't too small. I can measure the waist when I get it and let you know the actual measurement if you would like.

I am delighted to now own a piece of Audrey Hepburn's personal stationary:

This little Flapper Girl from 1925 signed by attendees at the Grattenburg Inn in 1925 (think it was a sorority do) - names that you don't really come across anymore like Mildred and Esther - all in beautiful handwriting:

This 1930's sideboard which we found at a salvage yard:

Wow Miss G, they are all amazing, but honestly, Audrey Hepburn's personal stationary? Lucky you. Where did you get it?

Thanks Lolly! I came across the piece of stationary in an Etsy shop that sells autographs. I did some research and apparently Audrey had a temporary two room apartment in that neighbourhood when she was filming Sabrina.
