thedanu, love it! And all the other finds too. You got really lucky at that market!!

thank you very much! <3
Finland seems to be quite a nice place for finding good things, they organize that kind of open air flea markets all around the country during the summer. Hopefully I'll manage to find a few more nice things before the summer is over! :)

And the smell is just something else :)

I know what you mean - I just love that musty smell! I could literally spend hours in a second hand bookshop.....and I have - my favourite was Goulds in Newtown, Sydney - I came out of there several times laden down - found some out of print gems there.

By the way your hat is divine and I love what you've done with your hair - so elegant!

Hi Miss Golightly, not sure if you are aware of this, but the Bob Gould (the owner of Goulds bookstore) died (in his shop) on 23rd May. http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment...ved-bookseller-dies-at-74-20110522-1ez1f.html

I had no idea - I'm really sad to hear that. It was really the best shop for second hand - it was a real treat to visit there (I loved the cats that just sat around on the books too!). I read the article and I have a feeling he may served me the first time I went there - and he was so generous when it came to prices - just looked at the heap of books I had and said something like "12 dollars" - I couldn't believe it! The next time I went was a different young guy who checked the price inside each book and charged accordingly!!!!!

It's sad to hear of his passing but he ran an amazing and unique store and I have a feeling it will be there (and enjoyed and loved) for many, many years to come....

great find Kate! I wish I had the patience to learn how to follow a knitting pattern properly! (I've only ever made scarves..)

I won this scotty dog brooch on ebay today, I collect things with scotty dogs on them and I thought this one was a bit quirky with the gun!
