Oh, the Walk Away dress! Been looking for a pattern for ages, never found a complete one.

I'm not sure if they ship internationally, but you could purchase it from that website I posted. It's a reproduction pattern from Butterick.

I checked the site, they do ship internationally, and not too pricey either, the shipping cost for one pattern is $12. Ill try and make a repro of the pattern pieces I've got, if it doesnt work at least I know where to find one. I doubt I can get one in Sweden, it seems all the 40's and 50s clothing and stuff just disappeared. So thank you, doll :) I'll bookmark the site.

This adorable (probably homemade) skirt came from a local vintage shop. I loved it so much, but just couldn't quite fit myself into that teeny waist. I should have held onto it till I got my 'foundation garment', but ended up selling it last year.

Did this really just happen to me?

I've been living in Funkytown lately and haven't had many purchases lately, let alone those of the vintage clothing variety. Just happened to be breezing through ebay and found this

Its a Swirl, the seller doesn't say so but you can see it on the tag. No stains, no holes.
Shipped for 12 bucks!

Baseball outfit

I've been corresponding with Fleur about outfits to wear to baseball games and this is what I've decided on...

The shirt is from Pin Up Girl Clothing, and the pants are from the Banana Republic Outlet store. They are about as "high waisted" as I can go and I LOVE them!

(I'm not wearing my girdle here--I will for the game--so forgive the rolling in the back.)

...with these red Keds. Snagged them for a steal! $60 marked down to $20 and they only had two sizes left, one of which was my size (hurrah for small feet!)...

...and this purse which I found on eBay.

Emer- what a cute outfit, I love it!

Here is one of the dresses I purchased on Thursday I mentioned I'd post a picture of soon. I wore it to dinner tonight. I purchased it at a vintage clothing shop in town for $15. I think the hem is a little short on me, but I still love the dress.

I agree! Your skin is gorgeous! I wish I could pull off green,s but I think they tend to make me look sickly. Of course, this is a gorgeous green too!

I have these and they are really comfortable. I wore them when we went on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad and didn't have a problem wearing them all day and walking around on rough roads. Have fun at the game!!

Oh thank you for posting this!! I have one pair of Keds, but they are the sneakers, so I was only a tad nervous about the wedges. This makes me feel much better!

I have those too, I would recommend getting those sticky heel grabber thingies as I got terrible blisters on the backs of my feet before they were worked in

Analiebe and Emer, thank you! I thought the color was great too.

Here's my other purchase from that same store. I paid $15 for it as well. The only thing is it's missing the belt. If anyone happens to know where I can find a thin red or even black or white belt please let me know.

I do automatically put those sticky heel custion things in all of my shoes like Six suggested so that is a good idea. That being said... I actually can't wear Ked's sneakers and just bought these because they were cute and was amazed at how comfortable they were.

Looking at my closet and how many pairs of shoes I own and have never worn tells me that I should probably stop buying shoes just because they are cute, and that's probably why my ex roommate always tells me that if I feel the need to go shoe shopping I should just clean out my closet... there so needs to be a shoe addiction help line...

BTW I love the shirt you're going to wear with them!!:) :) :)

Hey gals!
This isn't entirely vintage inspired, but it is a good deal.
JC Penney's is having a clearance blow out. Clearance items are marked down 75%. I came home with 2 pairs of shorts for $5 each. My store had some of their American Living brand sailor pants left marked at $5. They are low waisted, but they are wide legged. Very cute. There were navy patent heels and some T-straps for $10. Handbags were $5, costume jewelery $2, and dresses for $10. It might be worth a look. I bought some American Living brand jewelery; $50 worth for $4!!
Thought I'd share my good luck.:D
