My birthday is next week and I'm starting early. ;)

The other day during a marathon thrifting session for $13 bucks! I thought they were vintage, that's how good they are. I never knew Ralph Lauren made such things. They are ladies, too, in my large size for my sister ugly feet!

Today at an estate sale, for $15. Now I need matching gloves!

Go check the vintage pattern thread for the rest of what I got today....

I love that hat, Red Hot Riding Hood! So cute!

I bought a skirt today on ebay... yeah, I can't wear it for like 5 more months, but it was a pretty good deal for one of these painted circle skirts, and I just love the colours.

I actually bought these a couple of days ago for work, but I finally got the pictures off my camera to be able to show them to you :) (They were hastily taken so excuse the way some of them are arranged on my bed, lol)

Here is a cute navy sweater with a bow you tie to the side of the neck:

And this is a short sleeved version with a larger bow in a different material:

This is a pencil skirt with darling button details on the sides:

This is my favorite purchase of the day! High waisted trousers with wide legs. I have a pair of knit ones with buttons on the sides, but this one has a smooth front and are slightly dressier:
CIMG0855.jpg

A cap sleeve top with a bow in the front rather than the side:
CIMG0856.jpg

And finally a top with a ruffled detail on the collar and a tie at the waist:
CIMG0857.jpg

So fun to be able to share purchases with ladies who actually care ;)

I just bought this super cute sundress and little capelet on ebay. Too bad that Summer has ended here in Jersey, I'll have to wait awhile to wear it. Darn.

I like special, little details on simple, black pieces of clothes.

DecoDoll, pretty skirt. Very 50s!

Rabecca, Looks like you have a score. Your style is simular to my own. I wear a lot of that type of thing to work, as well.
I love that the bows and Velvets are still in...means it won't be hard to find! I'm such a sucker for velvet and plaids. I need a bigger bank account too. :)

Here are a couple things I picked up today.
I've been craving a good pair of high waisted jeans and found an amazing deadstock pair!

The top is 60's but it fits well and I really like the pattern. The skirt is a 40's brown gabardine. I love it.

And the best part is I fit into 28 waists in the skirt and jeans! yay!

RebeccaMUA- I love all the stuff you got. I really need those tops. REALLY!!
:eusa_clap

Aww thanks! I got them at Forever 21...perhaps they have a similar store in Italy? I couldn't believe all the vintage inspired clothing they have there for the fall! I am thinking about going back to purchased "colored" clothing for everyday.

Oh I do too! These are my new "work clothes" ( I am a freelance makeup artist and when I am on set, or even at a wedding I like to wear all black so that I "blend" into the background ). And I feel that little details like a ribbon, ruffles, etc. give a little "oomph" to an otherwise basic black top :)

Dandelion, Super cute dress!

Thanks, Lareesie!

Thanks, Odalisque! hehe... I'll keep your offer in mind if another friend who offered to babysit it falls through. ;) I love your finds too! I never can find vintage jeans long enough for me. I heart Freddies of Pinewood repros -- can't get into those anymore at the moment either though.

I think I tried on the long sleeved one with the bow in purple! I was super close to buying it, but I held back. I might have to get it next week, it's really cute.

I happened to be in Lincoln with my aunt last summer (it's been a while since I've been on the lounge lol ) and we had some down time, so I decided to take a walk and explore the neighborhood. I evidently picked the right weekend, because I stumbled upon a garage sale that was selling all sorts of stuff from the 40s and 50s! What was really odd was that all the dresses I tried on seemed to be tailored for me. The lady was selling all these beauties for A BUCK a piece! I had in my arms about 23 dresses and all I had was a $20, but she accepted! Some of them are in pretty shabby condition, and most are handmade. Do you think I could take some to a seamstress and have a new dresses made from the old? Once I get around to taking pictures, I will be sure to post them!
