I just won these
I am soo excited...my other gloves just took a dump so I needed to find some new ones

Those gloves are gorgeous! I've been thinking of getting some driving gloves (is that what they are called?) but I'm not sure how or with what to wear them.

Interesting info, thanks. It's definitely very heavy and scratchy, and I always associate flannel with softness.

Ah! It's likely it's still a kind of flannel. Technically a lot of men's suits are flannel, although they're very fine and soft; I think flannel is just a weave, so there's HUGE variety in weight, feel, and quality.

I just received a set of finger wave clips which i purchased from GOLDWYN GIRL.Can't wait to try them out( which may not be till Christmas as I hacked off my own hair in the heat of the summer )But will post pics when i do! Thanks a bunch!

I won this lovely dresser set.

The backs are that pretty rose pink, with ornamentation in black and lines that looked like they were originally gilt. The underside/primary material is a cream color.

The mirror is in good shape - actually slightly wavy, but I don't mind that; and it doesn't have spots. The brush is good, too, nice and soft and clean and intact. The comb I like more than the comb I was using.

What materials do you think these are? The teeth of the comb look like something else again, so I'm especially curious about them. The material has lines in it, and the teeth look carved or cut instead of molded. They're very sturdy.

I want to touch up the black and gilt, too. I can experiment to see what stays, but I also don't want to damage the material. I was thinking about a black Sharpie for the black (for the first try - it may rub off) and a gold paint pen for the gilt.

Beautiful set! Looks like celluloid to me. I would take them to someone who specializes in antiques and jewelry restoration to see what they can do with it.

This is fabulous!! I had one similar to this when i was 12 if you can believe it.My friends thought i was a crack pot.But it was most certainly not Dior! beautiful!
